  • Our groups are limited to six riders and one guide (private booking for smaller groups can also be arranged – contact us for details)

  • Half-board accommodation (on multi day trips), use of Orange Phase S electric mountain bike and cycle helmet, guiding.

  • Unless we are riding at Llys-y-Fran Trail Centre we usually start and finish at Llys Meddyg Hotel in Newport. For trail centre riding we use a mini-bus and trailer to get riders and bikes to the destination.

  • The minimum age allowed is 14, however our bikes are suitable for those 5ft 3in/160cm and above.

    Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Our guides will assess each rider’s ability and tailor the rides to account for this – don’t worry, you will never be expected to ride anything you feel uneasy about!

  • You get wet! This is Pembrokeshire after all… Seriously, we have a wide range of trails to choose from as well as access to a nearby trail centre, so in all but the most extreme weather conditions there is always somewhere to ride.

  • We can arrange for our minibus and trailer to pick you up and drive you back to Llys Meddyg.

  • Our guides are trained to deal with most ‘mechanicals’, and our bikes are strong and reliable so it’s rare to be unable to keep riding.

  • High season prices run from the start of April to the end of September and for two weeks over Christmas.

  • Pete Haskett

    GUIDE - Wooooosssshhhhh!!! What was that? It was probably Pete. You’ll often find him going fast, competing in enduro and downhill mountain bike races or see him plodding on for day’s at a time, like those times he rode the GB Escapade and Pan Celtic self supported ultra races. You’re in safe and knowledgable hands when Pete’s around.

  • Jacob Martin

    GUIDE - Jacob was brought up from a young age in the heart of the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire, and knows this rugged landscape like the back of his hand. Jacob is often off on mountain biking or climbing trips like in 2022 when he cycled the European Divide Trail, a 7600 km mountain bike trail from the North East to the South West corners of Europe.

  • Stuart Westmoreland

    GUIDE - Stuart is your all round charming and friendly local mountain bike expert. His life is an enthusiastic mix of mountain biking and gardening, so if you have a question about the flowers as you ride past he can tell you everything you need to know. Stuart was the spark behind Llys Y Fran, Pembrokeshire’s first purpose built mountain bike trail centre.

  • Max Higginson

    GUIDE - Max is the chatty one, wild one, the one who tells the best stories and has the best party tricks. You will often find him riding fast and flying through the air on some of Alps’ top downhill mountain bike trails and exploring all corners of Wales for some world class riding closer to home. With his guiding accreditation in hand, he's the perfect host for your two-wheeled adventures.

    GUIDE - Living in the heart of the Preseli Hills, we often pass by his door where we’re greeted by his 3 dogs. Ian is the wise one of the team who keeps the young guns in check. His competitive streak has given him a history of both Road and MTB racing, turning pedals in anger on a regular basis both in the UK and abroad. Ian will ensure you have a great day out on the bike.
